In group 1, Ferenc Horvath maintained his 100% record, but he did drop one game to Sean Wang. Nathan Shtilerman made an impressive debut taking second place in the group with wins over Sean and Tom Lodziak.
In group 2, Shahzad Ahmad had another strong performance, winning all three matches and putting himself in contention for a move up to the top group. The group was fiercely contested and the placings could have been very different. Alfred Tyrrell was unfortunate to lose two epic 5-game matches, falling 12-10 and 15-13 in both deciding games.
In group 3, Jin Wang had a great tournament to win all three matches against strong opponents. It was another very competitive group, with four matches finishing 3-2. It was Nila Datta who was the unfortunate player this time, losing all three 3-2, despite some excellent play.
In Group 4, our special guest all the way from Estonia, Katrin Adamson, who finished in top place with three wins. Elena Zhelezina kept up her good tournament record with two more wins, including a hard fought 3-2 victory over Uma Maheswari.
